Slumdog Millionaire gets Ten Oscar Nominations

Directed by Danny Boyle, "Slumdog Millionaire" is based on a book "Q and A" by Indian writer Vikas Swarup. It traces the journey of a poor young man from the slums of Mumbai, who ends up winning one crore rupees in game show "Kaun Banega Karorpati", the Indian version of American TV show "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire."

Dev Patel plays the lead character in this rags to riches story while Indian actor Anil Kapoor is in the role of the game show host.

And now Slumdog Millionaire has been nominated for ten Academy awards

2 Harihar Nagar- Review

The film starts in 1980 in front of a church where the friendship begins. First half is for comedy and second half is dedicated to adventure. Second half have many twists which makes people glue to the cinema. The climax portion also happens to be in the front of same church where the four friends united. The four characters look as if they jumped from In Harihar Nagar to this film. No wonder as these actors were acting the same way for 20 years or more. Jagadheesh steels the show in first half as his comedies are working after years. But sometimes we can expect what is going to happen next.Don’t expect this film will exceed all your expectations, but it won’t let you down also. This is a film you can go with your family and everyone will be satisfied. All said and done, the film is successful and Lal was able to satisfy viewers. Also this film proves what was Lal's contribution in Siddique-Lal team. Verdict : Very Good
